This was Iron Maiden's most critically acclaimed album! Maiden started to turn head's with 'The Number of the Beast' and when 'Piece of Mind' was released they broke the mold! I personally think 'The Number of the Beast' was a little bit better (the reason 'Piece of Mind' was more critically acclaimed over 'The Number of the Beast' is because when Maiden released 'The Number of the Beast' they were still a fairly new metal band in america and for some reason critics were (are) a little gun shy about giving great reviews to metal bands they don't know, so after they backtracked and heard the Maiden library of albums they felt more comfortable with Maiden and the critics had no choice but to finally give Maiden the respect and critical acclaim they deserved). This album is a heavy metal classic! And it should be on every Iron Maiden fan's shelf!
