If you've never listened to an Iron Maiden album before, I highly recommend starting with this one! No Prayer For The Dying, in my own opinion, is truly a musical masterpiece and probably my favorite Iron Maiden album to date. It combines heavy riffs along with moving lyrics that just makes you want to turn up the stereo a notch higher and blow out your ears. A typical Iron Maiden album usually has one or two hits. However, No Prayer For The Dying offers such hard-hitting tracks like the religious views of Holy Smoke, the war-based track Tailgunner, the vicious Bring Your Daughter...To The Slaughter, and my personal favorite, Public Enema Number One. Bassist Steve Harris truly amazed me with his powerful lyrics, and guitarists Dave Murray and newcomer Janick Gers must have played until their fingers bled. But I feel the main attraction was, as usual, vocalist Bruce Dickinson and his high-pitched scream, and its no wonder why fans call him the 'Air Raid Siren'. While other Iron Maiden albums may not be as good, No Prayer For The Dying is an album that you'll just want to keep playing over and over again.
