This is generally considered to be one of the finest live albums ever (with good reason), and many will say it's Maiden's best album. However, few of the songs are radically different from their studio counterparts, so what is it that makes this album so great? Simply that the songs are honed to perfection. The performances are slick and tight, and include just the right amount of crowd interaction. The interplay between guitarists Dave Murray and Adrian Smith is more apparent here than anywhere else, showcasing possibly the most underrated guitar double-punch in rock history. Also, it is worth noting that Bruce Dickinson's booming operatic voice actually holds up in concert, despite possible thoughts to the contrary. Classic.
