Quite possibly the best Iron Maiden album. I decieded to look into Iron Maiden solely because I'd heard Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag" one the radio one too many times. I picked up this album and was quite impressed! While I have bought other Maiden CDs and will buy more Maiden stuff in the future, this is still my favorite.

The title track of "Fear of the Dark" is simply awesome, one of their best songs ever. "Be Quick or Be Dead" is very good as well. My other favorites are "From Here to Eternity", "Chains of Misery", and "Weekend Warrior". The whole album is good, albeit lacking quite as much literary references of most past Maiden albums. The only think I don't like is one song ("Wasting Love", I think...) where the first half of the song is really good but then the second half is the first half repeated really slowly. Otherwise, it's an excellent buy. If you want great Maiden, the beast starts here!
