What can I say about Iron Maiden that hasn't been said already? They rule! And their new album is no exception. Wildest Dreams-Nothing really catchy here. Good guitar work, but the melody just falls flat. 3/5 Rainmaker-Awesome song! Interesting lyrics, and a great melody to boot. Definitely listen to this song. 5/5 No More Lies-A slower song, so I guess that's why it's not one of my favorites. Still, it has some nice lyrics, and heavy. 3/5 Montsegur-HEAVY! Great chorus to. Bruce never ceases to amaze me with his range and ability to deliver a dead-on preformance. The melody on this song is also excellent. 5/5 Dance of Death-Killer song, although I think it might have been better without having "pranced" in there, but hey, who cares if the rest of the song is amazing? I especially like the fast paced part at the end, where Bruce things along with the melody-"When you're lying in your sleep, when you're lying in your bed, do you wake from your dreams to go dancing with the dead?" 5/5 Gates of Tommorrow-Cool song. Not my favorite, still good though. 4/5 New Frontier-Another killer song! Has some nice riffs, and the lyrics are reminiscent of an old horror movie. 5/5 Paschendale-AWESOME!! Epic right here! About the WWI battle at Paschendale, this song starts with a slow tapping, then the guitar comes in with a sort of melancholy tune. This doesn't last long, though, as after a while the song kicks into full gear with ass kicking riffs and rhythms! 6/5 Face in the Sand-Sounds a bit like the title track, but I'm not saying it's bad by any means! The guitars work nicely here to deliver a heart pounding assault. 5/5 Age Of Innocence-A cool song. Kick-ass riff, and also pounding drums make this track a must listen. 5/5 Journeyman-A slower song, which is probably why I don't like it too much. Still worth a listen, though. 3/5 What can I say? Maiden has certainly put out another masterpiece. And, hopefully, there will be many more to come. Up the Irons!
