In Flames is one of my favortie bands because each album they make has its own unique sound. Whoracle is no exception to this rule. I think that the murky and gothic sound of the Jester Race began evolving into the sharp, focused style of Colony and Clayman on this album. The best songs on here are "Jotun," "Gyroscope," "The Hive," and espescially "Jester Script Transfigured" becuase all of them switch between melodic solos and choppy riffs almost instantaniously. The title track is also great; experimenting with the softer sound that would make up songs on Colony like "Ordinary Story," "Zombie Inc," and "Pallas Anders Vista." Over all, this is a great album, but I'd reccomend The Jester Race for new In Flames fans. Great stuff.
