Jotun was the first song from In Flames and I was instantly blown away. Being one of the founders of the Gothenburg metal, In Flames' second album, Whoracle, is definitly a step in the right direction. Episode 666 and Jotun are some of their best songs to date, and those songs are reasons enough to buy this album. Although this album is kick ass it does have it's flauts. Morphing into primal is one of them. While this song is fast and heavy, it sounds like they are just going through the motions instead of writing a new song. Other songs are like this on the cd too. Nonetheless, Whoracle does kick a lot of ass and a fan of Melodic death metal would be a fool not to pick up this album.
