This is In flames best album. It is my personal favorite album. This album is filled with great melodies, amazing guitar solos that fit perfectly into the songs they are in, Screamed vocals (not scremo vocals) and not one filler. EVERY SONG ON THIS CD IS As GOOD AS THE LAST! The songs on this album are very complex, but also very straight forward and very direct.It starts of with a slower song Moonshield. Moonshield has very good acoustic parts to it and flows very well. Next is the instrumental the Jesters dance. This song is a very melodic track, a little to short but its a great instrumental. Next track is one of my all time In flames favorites, Artifacts of the Black Rain. This track is awesome. It has heavy parts and melodic parts to it and the drums accent a lot of the guitar riffs in a lot of parts. Graveland is the next track and it is a cool song with a kinda old school melodic thrashy feel to it. Next song lord hypnos is a very straight forward and a very catchy track, there is no solo but the melody makes up for the solo. Next track is insane!! It is Dead Eternity and it is a song i can listen to over and over again and again! It has 2 great guitar solos and Excellent melodies. Next is the title track the Jester race. This has a much different feel to it then the rest of the songs. It is very hard to describe but its one of In flames best songs. December flower has the coolest guitar solo in it the second solo rules!! It is one of their most complex songs! Next is Wayfaerer and it is an insane instrumental. Then for Black ash inheritance they have goliaths disarm their davids a solid unique cool song, gyroscope which is on Whoracle a acoustic version that wraps the album up and a great live performance of Behind space. By the way Iron Maiden is a great band definatly not a glam metal band and unearth is nothing compared to in flames on a musical level. I saw unearth and inflames live and in flames puts on a much better performance. A rating less than 5/5 on this cd is an insult to In flames.
