I was first introduced to In Flames about 5 years ago, but I brushed them aside; their lyrics were rather silly (see "Pinball Map"), and their style was nothing impressive.

I heard "Cloud Connected" on a local college radio station, and absolutely loved it - I called the DJ immediately, and was shocked to hear that it was In Flames. I immediately began investigating, and found that the entire album was just as good from start to finish.

To those of you playing the "Old/New" argument: wake up. Yeah, it sounds different. It's better. In Flames has become my new favorite band, and this album started it all. Not only is it more melodic, it is crunchier than previous releases. The production quality is way better that anything previously released. It isn't only good as far as In Flames is concerned, it's great as far as METAL is concerned.

The new Iron Maiden? Possibly. Neo-Classical? Could be. The best metal album in years? Definitely.
