If you find yourself confused to answer this question, then WHAT is wrong with you. In Flames is the absolute best when it comes to metal bands(and underated). And if you have never seen these guys play live then you are missing out.I have seen them about 10 times and they never fail to give me the biggest baddest headache the next day. They rock! i have every single In Flames albums from "Lunar Strain" to the "Trigger EP" all the imports and even their live album "Live from Gothenburg" which isn't even a released album(if you would like a copy E-Mail me Shadowflames@Yahoo.com) Yes, In Flames changes from album to album but what is wrong with that. in my mind they will never sell out until they have the theme song to a movie like "Armagedon". I guess what i trying to get at is buy this album and every other album. listen and compare, see how they change and relize what kind of killer collection you have with all the sound variances. Every song has its own unique sound and the lyrics are always true. "Dysmiss the Cynic" takes your mind in and out of musical bliss. They throw several melodies in the pot and weave the lyrics right in for this catchy tune. "Dawn of a new Day" is a song about forgetting the past and trying to "Rise again." Then you recieve a kick in the face with "Egonomic." Starts heavy and never slows down. The chorus is catchy but the lyrics are still meaningful. If only church were like this song! The album starts of with its title track "Reroute to Remain" which isn't a good thing because I miss the next two songs picking up everything i just broke. The song leads you in with some wierd almost trippy keyboards then plants one upside your head. The album ends with "Black and White" which again will have you spending time fixing the holes in walls you just made and leaves you wanting more, more....MORE! "Metaphor" left me very confused at first. Even more so it left me with pains of antisapation. Its starts with some great soft intro guitar work, then Anders starts to sing with the soothing melody. i kept waiting for the hard stuff but it never came, i sat there with my mouth open...until "Black and White" knocked the wind out of me. but the more i thought about it the more i like "Metaphor" it gives you time to catch your breathe before you listen to the disc again. "Minus" is thrown right into the middle of the album. With it's harsh lyrics and rock hard drums it gives you some...umph, but yet again they bring you in with the catchy melodic quitar and smooth chorus. "Transparent" is a song you need to listen through though. I starts off with some good all aroung hard core instrument banging then lands you in when the melodies start. then it zigs and zags between the two styles throughout the tune. Well im sick of writing and I've got to fix my walls! ROCK ON INFLAMES FANS....SUPPORT AND DON'T DOWNLOAD THEIR ALBLUMS!
