Clayman is a powerful and fast In Flames record. One listen to 'Bulletride' or 'Only for the Weak' will show once again their powerful combination of death metal guitars and striking melody. This is only my third In Flames album (fourth if you include their live CD 'Tokyo Showdown'. I should have bought this CD as soon as it came out. This album is as good an introduction to the band as any. Whereas 'Reroute to Remain' is not as heavy and fast, this may be the last In Flames album to be as intense as their earlier material. A lot of people criticize this album as being weak, but I believe it is one of their better efforts, along with my all-time favorite 'Colony'.
