I was not at all impressed with this release. I have been a huge fan of Iced Earth since their conception and this is by far the worst piece of crap they've ever put out. Although I will say that the traditional Iced Earth sound is still present (as in, Schaffer's random "I wanna be Steve Harris!!!!" galloping rhythm guitar beats), there is nothing innovative, nothing new. unless you want to count Ass Ripper's annoying high- pitched, tone deaf, girly vocals. As a matter of fact, the only song I did like, was the first one, their version of the "star spangled banner" and that's only because its instrumental. dude, if you want good Iced Earth, get one of their more renound, classic albums like 'Something Wicked' or 'Dark Saga', but don't waste your money on this. I knew that i wasn't going to like this album when I bought it, but being the true Iced Earth fan that I am, I bought it to complete my collection. boy, do I regret being loyal.
