The first CD I ever listened to by Eced Earth was "Burnt Offerings". The epic last track, "Dante's Inferno," impressed me enouph to buy the album. One day, I was browsing through a music store in Salt Lake City (where I lived at the time), when I noticed the Spawn Cover to "Dark Saga." I bought it and ended up puting it in my CD player while I worked the next day. I was blown away. From the first song to the last, "Dark Saga" is an emotionaly potent and varied album that far surpasses their previous effort. I would pick out my favorite tracks, but the album really works best as a whole. Still, "The Hunter" is friggin' amazing. I have since become a big fan of Iced Earth. Anyone who likes powerfull, melodic metal should check out the whole list of albums with emphisis taken off "Iced Earth" and "Burnt Offerings;" however, if you buy just one, it should by "Dark Saga."
