First I'll state the obvious: This Album Kills! "Burning Times" is a perfect opener for "Something Wicked..." It kicks your [rear]w/ authority and makes no apologies for doing so! Jon Schaffer and Matt Barlow are Heavy Metal's answer to Lennon & Mcartney. They're a duo that just can't be beat! "Watching Over Me", "Reaping Stone", "1776", "Stand Alone" and "Burning Times" are my favorites on this album. Overall the songwriting is superb. Iced Earth should be enjoying the platinum selling status that Metallica has achieved and that all these "nu-metal" bands should have never gotten to in the first place! One listen to "Something Wicked" and you'll agree, that IE 's music is just as good, if not better than anything Metallica has done! That's saying alot because I love Metallica! Check it out.
