Iced Earth is the band keeping true metal alive. While theyre are other good metal bands still around, none can compare to their fresh sound. This album has everything you need in an Iced Earth album. Larry's memorable solo's, Matt's powerful vocals, and Jon's unmistakable rythm guitar and great lyrics. Every other song is a soft half acoustic song and they make up some of the best tracks. Meloncholy, Watching Over Me and Reaping stone are good representations of that. Burning Times, Stand Alone and My Own Savior are the best heavy and fast songs here. But the absolute best part here, is the ending! The Trilogy at the end tell an awesome story and the songs are even better. One of the top Iced Earth releases and one of my favorites.
