Wow, this Cd has just about hit the pinnacle of perfection. Practically every song is downright awesome, and the the set-up keeps the entire thing paced with the Thrash/Ballad/Thrash method. Matt Barlow displays envigorating emotion and passion with each song, wether it's about your freedom to think, the death of an old friend, or vindictive howls of an ancient race, you not only hear the songs, but feel them as well. John Schaffer's guitar riffs keep your head banging, and his lyrics are compelling, as he relates a story, a memory, or an outlook on the world, which becoems harder to find with the current trend of music.

Now I'm not anti Nu-Metal, in fact I like quite a bit of it, but I must confess that Thrash Metal is by far superior, and this disc proves it. There exists a myriad of emotions and stories, that it hardly becomes redundant.

Burning Times - An excellent opening track, talking about the Spanish Inquisition. It's heavy, but not enough to turn you off.

Melancholy - Shows a more humanistic nature of Christ, and his sacrafice.

Disciples of the Lie - An exceptionally hard track, about the abuses of Catholic and Protestant Priests.

Watching Over Me - The true story of the death of John's clsoe friend. Rather than focus on the negative aspect, he looks back on the memories, and uses that to motivate him further.

Stand Alone - Think for yourself, and remian confident in your own views, despite what people around you try to force upon you.

Consequence - A look on the world's past present and future, dealing with the human impact.

My Own Savior - Another hard track very similar to Stand Alone in respect to depending on yourself first for help.

Reaping Stone - This is more of a mythic tale about a lost girl, with a spooky kinda opening.

1776(Instrumental) - Obviously this one is reminscent of the Revolutionary War, and really illustrates the picture of the war in your mind.

Blessed Are You - A song devoted to the fans, and Schaffers love for music.

Wicked Trilogy

Prophecy - These last 3 songs take up the last 1/3 of the album, and weave forth a magnificent tale. You'll find yourself emmerced in the story, and blown away by the music. Never before have I been so intent on listening to the lyrics. Prophecy begins as a prolouge to the why the Wicked One came into being. It starts out very erriely, as we feel sorrow for the protaginist, then the song kicks up as they become vengeful, and even hopeful in their preperations. The music and singing really come together here, and the raw emotion is evident.

Birth of the Wicked - The Wicked Ones birth is succesful, and as he comes into being he begins to set his plan into motion.

The Coming Curse - Havoc is unleased, as the Wicked One takes revenge. The song begins with peaceful piano piece, symbolizing the calm before the storm. Then you are thrown into the midst of chaos, and the song doesnt fail to disssapoint.

Absolutely incredible from start to finish. If your into old-school metal, definetly pick this up. If your into nu-metal or alternative, try this, it's something new. Even if your into punk or emo your probably going to find something you like here. It's only [a few] bucks and an hour of your life, why not give it a try, this is one of the best albums out there, don't miss out.
