I am ashamed to say I have only been an Iced Earth fan for two years after I picked up a copy of Horror Show. Since then I have I have filled out my collection with all of their CDs and Something Wicked in my view is still their most wicked today.

This CD has everything: an "off to the mark" song like Burning Times, slower songs like Consequences and an epic like the ending trilogy (Prophecy, Birth of the Wicked and the Coming Curse).

The songwriting, production and musicianship on this CD are spot on. Barlow's vocal emotion on this CD is just great and you'll catch yourself singing (for someone like me in my car with no-one else around!) to such tunes as Watching Over Me.

If you are a first time buyer do yourself a favour and buy this, the Dark Saga, and Night of the Stormrider then everything else. If you are really smart buy the three CD version of Alive in Athens now. Something Wicked is highly recommended to all who like Metal!
