Despite shoddy vocals, this album triumphs over basically anything else American metal had to offer at the time (1992). A concept album of the highest caliber, each mind-blowing, thrash-inflected track guides you through the story of the Stormrider, a man betrayed by religion and manipulated by evil. No single track is better than any other; this album is a mighty entity to be experience in full. However, each track (with the possible exception of the segues "Before the Vision" and "Reaching the End") is more than good enough to be taken by itself. If I HAD to pick highlights, they'd be "Angels Holocaust," "Pure Evil," and "Travel In Stygian".
