Iced Earth is one of the gods of metal. And Burnt Offering Happens to be one of their best albums as of late (not to degrade my opinion of any of there other great albums). All of their songs on this album are great except for one. The only song that I did not like on this CD was Creator's Failure, it was just too different from the other songs for my liking. But other than that, every other song on this album makes it worth the purchase, the first song -Burnt Offerings- is an interesting song with about three different voices throughout with great results. Followed by Last December which is a very good song despite the mildly depressing lyrics, then comes Diary which opens with guitar and drum styling very similiar to that of Rammstein, after that is Brainwashed which is average, followed by Burning Oasis which is a song about The Garden of Eden I do believe, then there is the below mediocre song Creator's Failure, you get a quick-just under two minute-song that is not long enough to get on my nerves, the last but not least-Dante's Inferno-a sixteen and a half minute masterpiece about the "Divine Comedy" of the same name. Perfect for any metal fan.
