First of all, if you are a hardcore fan of Helloween and love the seven keys albums, and can't wait to hear the new Helloween power metal trademark sound: this is not it. In fact, if this had a different band's name on the cover, you'd NEVER say, "Isn't this Helloween?" So, if you loved old songs, like Future World and Halloween on part.1 and all on Seven Keys part.2, don't buy this. Just a warning. On the other hand, Helloween have gotten heavy metal hard, in the same sense as Halford's LP Crucible, HammerFall, and Accept old school metal riffing. One minute this singer sounds like a power metal vocalist and the next, like Udo from accept, as mentioned. Great heavy guitar, and there is melody in this, not all super heavy, I just mean heavier compared to previous releases. This CD goes up and down: heavy riffing and then HammerFall-type anthems, with some (but not a lot) guitar wizardry thrown in. If you want to hear a heavier Helloween, defintely get this. I think it deserves 4 stars, which is great, because I only give 5 to albums in which I feel that every song is a masterpiece. Essential for any metal or Helloween fanatic, that doesn't mind a heavier Helloween. ****4 STAR PUMPKINHEAD RATING FROM SCRAGGY'S TOMB! Cheers.
