The title is very obvious, as this is a "Dark Ride" indeed, the guitars are shredy and more biting than ever, there's plenty of galloping rhythms, and a brooding, dark atmosphere that surrounds many of the songs. A few bands have the trademark Helloween soaring choruses and melodic paces, but overall you have a more devilish, evil feel to the music than usual. It seems the band members have found a whole new meaning to their existence. They have updated their sound without losing any of their trademarks. This is a tough feature, the producer Roy Z has helped the guitars, heavy up the drums and bass, and help Andi Deris explore many other sides of his already fine technique. Alot of fans would probably say the older ones are better, but I think this has to be their best one yet, get this one now!
