Rabbit Don't Come Easy (Average Rating: 8.34 out of 10)
Maybe a return to form, but hardly a triumph. (Rated this album with 6 out of 10) Reviewed by

The only thing saving this album from the same rating I gave to the deplorable "Is This It" by the Strokes is the 2nd song on the record, called "Open Your Life" -- It is a fantastic, powerful song that includes everything Helloween fans love so much: Awesome vocal work, catchy and powerful guitar playing, and a fast, epic quality in both the music and the lyrics. The rest of the album is mostly forgettable with some truly AWFUL songwriting such as the following line which I have copied verbatim from the opening song: "Something's growing in my pants as she looks into my eyes" What in the world possessed them to write such apallingly stupid lyrics? The sound also leaves much to be desired, The Dark Ride was a step in the right direction, it sounded light years better than any other Helloween album, but it was a darker theme. If Helloween didn't like the dark theme they simply should have changed to a brighter theme and kept the fantastic production (Roy Z is a god among producers), and possibly just worked on doing a better all around job songwriting. Rabbit Don't Come Easy is an average record at best. Save your money.
