If you liked Glory to the Brave, you'll like this one too. Yet, if you are like me, you'll feel a bit let down by the lack of innovations on this album. Hammerfall haven't taken any risks with this one. Glory to the Brave brought power-metal back to the attention of the metal-listening public, but Legacy of Kings is simply a safe, though effective and enjoyable, follow-up. Is there anything here as rousing as "Stone Cold"? I didn't think so. Buy Legacy of Kings if you need a power-metal fix - you won't be disappointed. But if you can only afford one Hammerfall album, I'd have to recommend Glory to the Brave over this one. Hopefully, Hammerfall will be a bit more adventurous on their next effort.
