It seems every website devoted to metal seems to point to these guys as being the reason for the recent resurgence of heavy metal's popularity (at least outside the U.S.). The majority of reviews put Hammerfall on some kind of pedastal. To those of you who love heavy metal but aren't the type to jump on bandwagons, Hammerfall is overrated. Granted this CD has good power metal, and if you go in with little expectations, you will enjoy this CD, possibly even love it. The singer doesn't exactly fit this style of music. He neither has a lot of range (especially in the lower regions) nor does he have any roughness to accenuate the fast-paced style of music. If Hammerfall could bring in a better singer and be a little more innovative on their choruses (see review from person in Nebraska), they would deserve the recognition they are getting.
