"Crimson Thunder" is one of the better albums to come out in 2002. Hammerfall have proved themselves time and time again, that they can kick [...]. I think their cd's keep getting better and better as they come out. I wasn't expecting too much out of this album. Just a solid release. Well I definetly got more than that out of it. I find myself rocking out to this album constantly. I am one for working out and running alot. When the track "Hearts on Fire" hits the speakers nothing can stop me. This is a very powerful album. I noticed on here the bonus track is "Detroit Rock City". I bought my copy of the album elsewhere and my bonus track is the Yngwie Malmsteen classic "Rising Force". I'm dying to hear how "Detroit Rock City" sounds by them. Like someone else said Hammerfall should follow the roots of Iced Earth and make a Tribute to the Gods type of cd with all covers on there because the band always makes great covers. "Crimson Thunder" is definetly worth owning. I am not disappointed with any track on the album. "Riders Of The Storm", "On The Edge Of Honour", "Trailblazers", and "The Unforgiving Blade" are other amazing songs. Album is very energetic and uplifting. Play it loud and it will pay off. I saw these guys open up for Dio in December and they were incredible. They took alot of fans by suprise who didn't know who they were. Besides Blind Guardian who came through the USA if any of these European power bands are gonna receive attention here in America it is Hammerfall. I think they will be back soon. This was their second USA tour and the fans were really into them. If radios dont wanna play them than thats their fault. The least we can do is support the album and try our best to get them some airplay here. Metal is dead in the states. All thats played is nonsense. Its a shame how metal is distributed in America. It is all false nonsense fed to us by Corporate America on a silver spoon. If bands like Hammerfall, Stratovarius, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Angra, and Iced Earth were to be played on the radio and had the attention that MTV gives to bands like Slipknot, Korn and Disturbed metal would be alive and well. Things are happening over seas but everything is run down here. Us true metalheads must try out best to keep the flame burning and show that metal can and will live in the United States.
