I liked this band...when they were called Helloween! (Rated this album with 6 out of 10)

A challenge: Can anyone out there honestly tell Helloween and Gamma Ray apart? Near as I can tell, these two bands are all but impossible to distinguish from each other. For example, the Helloween classic "I Want Out" goes like this: "I want out! (fast chugging riff) I want out!". The Gamma Ray song "Heaven or Hell" goes like this: "Heaven or Hell! (fast chugging riff) Heaven or Hell!". See what I mean?Now, I have respect for Kai Hansen, he's a great guitarist, and he contributed some excellent work to a few songs by Blind Guardian, the greatest band in the world. But my one main problem is that I can't tell any two Helloween albums apart, nor any two Gamma Ray albums, nor any two albums between either of those bands. It's not bad music, it's just too generic. Plus, it occasionally sounds like hair metal. Not good. If you want some power metal that'll really knock your socks off, check out some Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, and of course Blind Guardian, but this is about as run of the mill as it gets.
