If you're interested in melodic death metal in the vein of In Flames or Dark Tranquillity, I'm telling you this is as good as it gets. Children of Bodom is absolutely the best band in this field. Every song on this album is awesome, and I would expect nothing less from them. I'd like to point out lead guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Alexi Laiho, who somehow manages to come up with the some of the most brilliant rhythms I've ever heard. If I had to pick standout tracks they would probably be the title track, "Silent Night Bodom Night" and "Children of Bodom". If you like this cd, find their new cd Follow The Reaper somewhere. (...) doesnt offer it but let me tell you its even more brilliant than Hatebreeder!
