After listening to all three of Children of Bodom's albums, I found Hatebreeder to be their best. Children continues to use the amazing guitar work with the perfect supporting keyboards, but they manage to improve upon it. The band not only makes the keyboards flow better, but also makes the keyboards act as a device to directly boost the listener's interest in the song. The best way to see what I mean by this is by listening to two prime examples, "Hatebreeder" and "Black Widow." Additionally, the album is a good length, and each song gives the listener something to look forward to. Once again, however, the band neglected to give the U.S. version a song from the Japanese version. This time it is "No Commands." The song is quite good, but the CD does just fine without it.
