...and, here, that is the still-overdone and unnecessary (In my opinion)keyboard solos. I will say that they are somewhat more tastefully done than on Follow the Reaper, but keyboard use is still much more intrusive than, say, on any In Flames album, or Dark Tranquility's "Damage Done". Obviously, a look at the other reviews shows that many do not have the same opinion. I just want to provide warning to any "old-school" metal-heads who are of the opinion that keyboard solos have no place in extreme metal.

I am not suggesting that I would like Warman to go join a "Miami Sound Machine" cover band. My main keyboard beef is with the solos, which for the most part sound like they belong on a 1980's Yngwie album. I think that the keyboard intro on "Angels Don't Kill" fits in nicely, as do some other keyboard moments. (Just leave the leads to the incredibly capable guitarists.)

So, after all of this complaining, why do I own several of COB albums?
Despite what I personally feel are unecessary keyboard solos (for example, track 7), I still give it 4 stars because this band still oozes talent, and this release in particular is a very enjoyable listen. The riffing is great, the guitar leads are among the best this side of Chuck Schuldiner(RIP), and the vocals are among my favorite in metal. .
