Well, around a year and a half ago I came across someone who also listened to metal. We talked for a while and then he told me about Children of Bodom. I decided to check them out. I went into a small local record store and found "Something Wild" and "Follow The Reaper" and bought them both. And am I glad I did...YES! The guitar work on here is unbelievable, as is the keyboarding. I want to see them duel with Dream Theater, but what also is amazing is COB is like 15 years younger than DT. This isn't death metal, not black metal, it's more 80's power metal with harsh vocals. This is far more organized, and has far more (and better) harmonies and solos than "Something Wild." It has less classical elements than "Hatebreeder" but that just proves variety and originality. If you play guitar you'll love this album, or if you just love metal and have been begging for more guitar work like that found in the 80's. Follow the Reaper and buy all their albums, it doesn't matter what order they are all worth buying.
