Regardless of what genre these guys are; (melodic black metal with a tad bit of death and thrash maybe?), their talent on guitars and keyboards is hard to overlook. While combining traditional black metal with elements of the Swedish Gothenburg sound, their sound is heavy and brutal enough for any metal listener, while still retaining an obvious technicality to their music. This is the first album I bought from these Finnish guys, and despite the fact that most, if not all of of my other music is more 'light' in comparison, I really like this album and will continue to buy COB albums. Along with Arch Enemy, In Flames, Soilwork, Sentenced and Dark Tranquillity, COB have joined a growing movement of heavier music that really is quite impressive in comparison to other metal. My favorite songs are "Follow the Reaper", "Bodom after Midnight" and the best of the best "Everytime I Die". I have heard from many that this is the best Bodom album so far. Well, I believe it. I can't wait for "Hatecrew Deathroll" to be released in the U.S.
