This CD absolutely rules. It's some of the most rhythmically and melodically insane metal you'll ever hear. The musicianship is unbelievably tight and played with feeling and manic cracked-out energy. Alexi and Alexander play some of the fastest, most technical guitar licks I've ever come across. The drummer is one of the best I've ever heard--lots of doublekick but not the same stale monotonous beats that so many metal drummers do. The song writing is excellent as well. Nearly all the songs are memorable and fun to listen to again and again and most of them have mad shred-fests in them. The production is top-notch. The vocals bugged me at first because I don't listen to much black metal, but they suit the music well and they've really grown on me. The lyrics, well...probably better that you don't read them--you won't understand them and it's better that way. This is easily Bodom's best album in my opinion.
