My whole review will probalby rave about the same thing, but to get it off my chest, this album is a guitar masterpiece. Alexi's lead guitar is the greatest guitarist-vocalist work I have ever heard. I had trouble believing he did lead guitar, as his vocals are something to be proud of by themselves. The guitar work is VERY technical and played at a VERY fast speed. I cannot express into words my appreciation of CoB's guitar talent.As for the rest of the band, the bass is pretty good, you can actually pick it apart and name the notes, yet it fits very well with the music. The drums are pretty good but mostly go unnoticed, just like the bass, as the guitars just blow you away and steal the show. This is not to say the production isn't well set up, you can hear the bass and drums very clearly if you tear your mind from the guitars for a single minute. Alexi, the metal god, delivers hardcore vocals that are one of the only things that take your attention like the guitar does. As for the album, EVERY single song is a classic. Get the one with the bonus tracks, as you a get a sweet cover of Shot in the Dark (Ozzy) and a bass stand-out track Hellion (W.A.S.P.S). Stand-out tracks are the whole album, especially Hate Me! and track 9 (I forget what it's called and haven't got the cd with me at the moment). Anyone who plays guitar, any instrument, or can just recognise guitar talnet will enjoy this cd. Awesome melodies.
