i tend to like death/black metal more than most progressive/power metal bands. There are many high points but they are equaled by negative ones. The band is very ambitious and very different. I like the guitarists work (very technical) a lot but this is metal, i want to hear a bass... I also wish the singer had some balls and did more than operatic vocals. I like that hes doing something original but im not trying to listen to a broadway production. I do like the vocals better than the guy from dream theaters (although each band is very different). If you like to experiment or like showtunes with metal/medivial influences then you should purchase this album.
