Simply an epic masterpiece. The operatic neo-classical music on this album has a diamond finish and adamantine polished production. The songs have a very hard and sharp reality edge: lyrical content is historical/non-fiction. To me, the orchestral accompaniment seems perfectly logical for these epic pieces reflecting the history of mankind's plight; the orchestral arrangements are not at all overbearing. The writing is incredible, creative, and always leaves you guessing; with one surprise after another. I think Blind Gaurdian's first-class music rivals some 20th century masterpieces, maybe even a few by Gershwin. Did I say that? Full-throttle Metal, honest vitality, and overwhelming passion! MAGNIFICENT!!! MAGNIFICENT!!! MAGNIFICENT!!!
